Ms. Kathy Dean

Mrs. Kathy Dean, 71, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at her home. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Dean will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 2:00 PM in Crystal Hill Cemetery with Mr. Dennis Rolling officiating. The family of Mrs. Dean will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Saturday from 12 noon until 2:00 PM. Mrs. Dean was born on December 12, 1946, in Athens, a daughter of the late Roy Vernon and Velma Frances Saxon Owenby. She was a retired inspector for the Sigvaris Corporation. Mrs. Dean was a member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Dean is survived by a daughter, Michelle Matthews, and a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Linda Dean, all of Thomaston; two sisters, Rachel Crews and Sybil Bright; two brothers, Ray Owenby and Grady Owenby; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
