Mrs. Theresa Bailey Ruffin

Mrs. Theresa Bailey Ruffin, 77, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at her home. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Ruffin will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Valley Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Claude Turner officiating. The family of Mrs. Ruffin will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Mrs. Ruffin was born in Thomaston on January 28, 1944, a daughter of the late Johnnie Bailey and Mary Dora Hammock Bailey . She had been employed by Federal Paperboard and was also a homemaker. Mrs. Ruffin was a member of the Valley Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Ruffin is survived by her husband, Don Ruffin of Thomaston; her daughter, Mary Catherine Ruffin of Thomaston; her brother, Hugh Bailey of Worchester, MA; her sister, Linda Drummond (Phillip) of Manchester; her brother-in-law, Steve Ruffin (Marsha) of Thomaston; two granddaughters, Theresa "Tera" Harris (Will), and Erica Helms; and her great granddaughter, Jazmine Harris. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, David Todd Ruffin, a sister, Susan B. Harrison, and a brother, Donald Bailey. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
