Sheryl Jean Kinsaul, 84, passed peacefully into her Heavenly Home on June 16, 2025, surrounded by her family. A loving wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of love and strength.
She was married for 66 years to the love of her life, celebrating their anniversary on June 7. Their marriage wasn’t just a commitment in name, but a true partnership in every sense of the word. They were teammates, confidants, co-workers, caretakers and companions on life’s journey. Through every joy and challenge, they stood side by side, a true example of lifelong commitment and devotion.
She had a spirit of adventure and wanderlust, enjoying many memorable trips, including those to Alaska, Hawaii, and Lake Tahoe. She also found joy in simple pleasures, like playing cards with her friends or visiting with her family. She is survived by her husband, Sidney Kinsaul, of Thomaston, 3 children Russell (Lisa) Kinsaul, of Thomaston, Mike (Libby) Kinsaul, of Thomaston, and Cindy (Tony) Gooden, of Sharpsburg, 7 grandchildren Jason (Rachel) Kinsaul, of Madison, Chasidy (Ben) Brooks, of Sharpsburg, Heather (Parker) Foster, of Tulsa OK, Margo (Hunter) Dunlap, of Savannah, Meagan (Simon) Colwell, of Barnesville, Angie (Britt) Moon, of Daufuskie Island, SC, and Cynthia Gooden, of Ellerslie, and 12 great grandchildren: Ava Kate, Avery, Eli, Jett, JP, Liam, Lillie-Mae, Mary-Lynn, Mason, Nathan, Poppy, and Sydney.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Smith, brother Bobby Andrews, sister Pat Tidwell, and great grandson Alden. Her heart longed for their reunion now made complete. She had peace and strength in Jesus and was confident in her return to be with Him.
She will be terribly missed- her smile, her wisdom, her gentle presence- but her love remains with us. It lives in the stories we tell, the values we pass on, and the memories we hold close.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 19, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at Fletcher Day Funeral Home.
