Mrs. Rose Marie Parker

Mrs. Rose Marie Parker, 84, of Thomaston died Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Rev. Milton Hill and Dr. Derrick Keeter will officiate and interment will follow in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 6:00PM till 8:00PM. Mrs. Parker was born in Thomaston on April 13, 1932 to the late Walter and Annie Hawkins Helms. She retired from the Thomaston Mills as a folder, and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Mrs. Parker was predeceased by her husband Edward Warren Parker and a son Paul McKinley Parker. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Parker and Cindy (Mike) McDaniel, and a son, Lindy (Wanda) Parker, all of Thomaston; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
