Mrs. Patsy Storey Dowdy

Mrs. Patsy Storey Dowdy, age 89, formerly of Thomaston, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Southland Health and Rehabilitation in Peachtree City.

Mrs. Dowdy was born in Thomaston on August 26, 1936, to the late Marvin Pope Storey and the late Doris Trice Storey. She was a 1954 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and was employed as a clerk with Thomaston Mills until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Thomaston and enjoyed shopping and spending time at the mall.

She is survived by her daughter, Michele (Chris) Peacock of Brooks; grandsons, Nicholas Peacock and Landon Peacock; brother-in-law, Harold Payne; and nieces, Julie Ann (Mike) Crane and Joni (Scott) Young.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, T.L. Dowdy, and her sister, Judy Storey Payne.

In accordance with her wishes, no service will be held. Interment will take place at South View Cemetery.
