Mrs. Lucy P. Wainwright

Mrs. Lucy P. Wainwright, 98, of Thomaston, died Friday, March 10th, 2017 at Riverside Health and Rehab. Funeral services for Mrs. Wainwright will be held on Sunday, March 12th, 2017 at 2:00 PM at East Thomaston Church with Rev. Joey Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Wainwright will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Mrs. Wainwright was born on August 8th, 1918, a daughter of the late William and Estelle Fryer Posey. She was a retired food service worker and nurse's aide at Upson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of East Thomaston Baptist Church. Mrs. Wainwright is survived by two daughters, Joyce Peters of Jonesboro and Sue (Gene) Hughes of Mc Calla, AL; two sons, Donald Wainwright and Stephen (Dianne) Wainwright, both of Thomaston; nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
