Mrs. Ida Perea Pollard, age 91, of Yatesville, died Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at her residence. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Pollard will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 11, at St. Peter the Rock Catholic Church. Father Thomas Zahuta will officiate, and burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Yatesville.

Mrs. Pollard was born in Torreon, New Mexico, on December 25, 1934, to the late Jose and Maria Perea. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Peter the Rock Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pollard was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Melvin Pollard, two sisters: Eulalia Mora and Ramona Sandavol, a brother: Boleslo Perea, and a granddaughter, Ciera Pollard.

Survivors include her seven children: Jim (Jennifer) Pollard of Byron; Veronica (Donald) Stewart of Thomaston; Diana (Mark) Kendrick of Barnesville; Lisa (Mark) Pitts of Thomaston; Milton Pollard of Yatesville; Ellen (Pete) Daniel of Dahlonega; and Paula (Phillip) Gardzelewski of Magnolia, Texas; and one sister, Mary Griffin of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren also survive.
