Mrs. Harriet Walker Corley

Mrs. Harriet Walker Corley, age 63, of Thomaston, died Friday, December 7, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Corley will be held Tuesday, December 11, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Stokes officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Yatesville. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home Monday evening, December 10, from 6 until 8 PM. Mrs. Corley was born in Thomaston on February 1, 1955, to the late Harry Calvin and Virginia Cochran Walker. She was a 1973 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and received an Associates Degree from Gordon College as a member of that school's first nursing class. She was employed for many years as a nurse at the Upson County Health Department. Mrs. Corley was a member of the New Pine Grove Baptist Church of Forsyth, GA. Mrs. Corley is survived by her husband, Rev. Keith Corley of Thomaston; two sons: Rob Corley of Thomaston, and Jason (Vanessa) Corley of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren: Olivia and Braelyn Corley, both of Thomaston, and Eva Corley of Chicago; her mother-in-law, Barbara Corley of Thomaston; and two nieces, Teresa (Kevin) Kalmbach and Tonya (Tim) Harvey, both of Warner Robins, GA.
