Mrs. Frances Maudell Bethune Parker

Mrs. Frances Maudell Bethune Parker, born on August 3, 1931, in Meansville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Riverside Health and Rehab. She was 94.

She was known for her dedicated work at General Tire and Rubber Co. in Barnesville. Maudell attended Mud Bridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed engaging in word and crossword puzzles, baking cakes during the holiday season, and cooking—making a pan of biscuits every day. Her love for gardening and hummingbirds brought her much joy.

Maudell is survived by her son, Tommy (Cathy) Parker of Thomaston; her brother, Ollie Thomas (Janice) Bethune, Jr. of Thomaston; her grandchildren Nathaniel, Doug, Jenny Ann, Susan, Dana, and Shane; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, O. T. Bethune, Sr. and Vernie Izora Laughter Bethune; her husband, Stanford Parker, Sr.; her son, Stanford "Stan" Parker, Jr.; and her grandsons, Jonathan Parker and Josh Tucker.

A private family interment will be held at Upson Memorial Gardens.
