Mrs. Frances C. Brown

Mrs. Frances C. Brown, age 90, of Thomaston, died Sunday, April 7, 2024, at her residence. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be held on Tuesday, April 9, at 2:00 PM at South View Cemetery with Dr. Rex King officiating.  The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM.

Mrs. Brown was born October 4, 1933, in Thomaston, GA, to the late Wheeler D. Cooper and the late Dora Thompson Cooper. Mrs. Brown was a 1951 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute.  Before her retirement, she was employed as a bookkeeper for Greene's Propane Gas Company and for Riverside Health and Rehab. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown will be remembered as a great wife, mama, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Sylvester Brown. She is survived by her children: Keith (Angie) Brown of Weaverville, NC, Steve (Connie) Brown of Thomaston, and Tammy Brown Bridges of Thomaston; five grandchildren: Erin Weeks, Ashley Rickman, Jenna Bridges, Alli Bennett, and Caleb Brown; and five great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
