Mrs. Elsie Mae Barentine

Mrs. Elsie Mae Barentine , 89, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, May 21, at 2:00 PM, in Upson Memorial Gardens with Dr. Rex King officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 until 1:30 at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Barentine, a native Upsonian, was the daughter of the late Thomas Otis and Mary Bond Jackson. She worked for many years as a spooler operator for B. F. Goodrich. Mrs. Barentine was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Barentine and a son, Wayne Keith Teal. Survivors include a son: Stanley Byron (Dottie) Teal of Thomaston; two daughters: Cheryl Teal Hendrix of Meansville and Marsha Teal (Donald) Goodman of Thomaston; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
