Mrs. Elizabeth "Liz" Jones Witty

Mrs. Elizabeth "Liz" Jones Witty, age 81, of Springhill, FL, died Saturday, February 25, 2023.  A private family memorial service will be held in Thomaston at a later date.

Mrs. Witty was born October 28, 1941, to the late Buford Jones and the late Geanie Belle Jones.  She was a 1959 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute where she played basketball.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Witty was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Witty; two sisters, Barbara Lowery and Faye Talley; and a brother, Alton Bland.  She is survived by two sons: Michael (Corolla) Murphy and Shawn (Angela) Murphy, two brothers, Robert Jones and Stoney Jones; seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
