Mrs. Bettie Jo Barfield Allen

Mrs. Bettie Jo Barfield Allen, 84, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at Navicent Health in Macon, GA. Memorial services for Mrs. Allen will be held on Saturday, September 14, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Dr. Rex King officiating. Mrs. Allen, a native Thomastonian, was born September 15, 1934, to the late Carrol Mangham Barfield and Gayzelle Christopher Barfield. She was a graduate of R. E. Lee Institute. Mrs. Allen attended Mountain View Baptist Church and was a former member of Smyrna Baptist Church. She is survived by five children and seven grandchildren: Susan Coley and granddaughter, Jamie Coley, of Thomaston, GA; Andy Allen, and wife, Ana, and granddaughter, Melissa Gayle of Thomaston, GA; Hope Allen and husband, Jamie Erlicht, of Beverly Hills, CA; Chris Allen and granddaughters, Mary Clare Allen and Francee’, and grandson, Adam Allen, of Lakeland, FL. Judy Dingler and husband, Kip, and daughters, Stefani Smith and Carson Dingler, of Bolingbroke, GA. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements.
