Barbara Rigby Haynes, a beacon of love and faith, passed away surrounded by the warmth of her family's love. Her life was a testament to her unwavering devotion to her family, her community, and her faith. Born to the late John Earnest Rigby and Mary Elizabeth Rigby, Barbara's journey began with a solid foundation of love and education. She carried the torch of knowledge from Auburn University to UCLA, where she earned her bachelor's degree, setting the stage for a lifetime of service and care.

Barbara's professional life was marked by her tenure at Avondale Mills, where she created a tapestry of cherished memories and lasting friendships. Her compassionate spirit led her to Radney Funeral Home, where, as a preneed sales agent, she provided comfort and assistance to those navigating one of life's most challenging passages. Her work was not just a job but a calling, where she could extend her innate ability to care for others.

Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence. Barbara's Christian beliefs were not just professed but lived daily. She was a dedicated member of the Dadeville Church of the Nazarene, where she served with grace and diligence as the church treasurer, secretary, and a beloved children's church teacher. Her leadership extended to her role as the president of Nazarene Mission International and as a board member, where she guided with humility and strength.

Barbara's mornings were sacred times of connection and encouragement. She began each day by sending uplifting messages to her loved ones, friends, and anyone in need of prayer. Known as a prayer warrior, her intercessions were a source of comfort and strength to many. Her love for her family was boundless, and she cherished every moment with her grandchildren. The tender memories of her rocking and singing to the babies will be a cherished legacy that will continue to echo in the hearts of her family.

Barbara's love story with her husband, Jessie Leon Haynes, was one of deep affection and mutual respect. Since his passing, she has missed him profoundly, holding onto the love they shared as a guiding light through her remaining years.

Barbara Rigby Haynes's life was marked by her loving, faith-filled, and selfless nature. She leaves behind a rich tapestry of loved ones: her children, Rebecca Ann (Dennis) Rolling, Deborah Whitten, and Jeff Haynes; her siblings, Rex Rigby, Barry Rigby, Pamela (Mark) Horn, and Mollie Rigby (Chris) Britt; her cherished mother, Olga M.
