Mrs. Anne Colquitt Page

December 16, 1939 — May 15, 2026

Formerly of Thomaston

Heaven just got a little sweeter as Mrs. Anne Colquitt Page, affectionately known as "Honey," passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the age of 86.

Born on December 16, 1939, in Thomaston, Georgia, and raised in Yatesville, she was the cherished daughter of Augustus Boyt "Gus" Colquitt and Mary Ethel Daniel Colquitt. Mrs. Page’s life was deeply rooted in the community where she grew up, and her journey was marked by unwavering dedication to family, faith, and service. A graduate of Yatesville High School in 1958, Anne distinguished herself academically as the class valedictorian. Early in her career, she was employed at Macon Machine Shop and later at Carter’s Mill in Thomaston, establishing a foundation of hard work that would define her professional life. In 1959, Anne welcomed her first son, Hardy Eugene Wheeless, followed by her second son, Michael Colquitt Wheeless, in 1961. Her love for family extended further in 1980 when she married Donald A. Page in Thomaston, Georgia. The couple shared 37 years together, blending their families and enriching one another’s lives through their steadfast partnership. Mrs. Page embarked on a successful and dedicated career as a Bank Officer at the First National Bank of Barnesville, Georgia. She served with distinction until her retirement on March 31, 1995. Her professionalism and integrity were hallmarks of her time in banking, and she was respected by colleagues and clients alike.

Anne’s life was characterized not only by her professional achievements but also by her profound personal commitments. She was known for her devout reading of the Bible, active participation of First Baptist Church of Thomaston, where she was an active member of  the Welcome Sunday school class, Missionary Society, and women's social activities. She was an avid gardener. Her community spirit was demonstrated through her volunteer work as a Pink Lady, and as a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. Additionally, she found joy spending time camping with friends and family, embracing the outdoors.

Mrs. Page is survived by her two sons, Hardy (Kellie) Wheeless, and Mike (Elisa) Wheeless; her stepson, Donny (Joan) Page; six grandchildren: Leah (Scott) Andrews, Walker (Jessica) Page, Mason (Grace) Wheeless, Michael (Kristy) Wheeless, Abigail (Devyn) Stubblefield, and Samuel (Anna) Wheeless; along with seven great-grandchildren: Tripp Andrews, Wells Andrews, Elizabeth Page, Addison Page, Ethan Page, Kaleigh Jo Stubblefield, and Wade Wheeless. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
