Mrs. Anna Toris, age 99, of Thomaston, formerly of Woodbridge, New Jersey, died Friday, May 16, 2025, at Riverside Health and Rehab.
Mrs. Toris was born in Avenel, New Jersey, on April 2, 1926, a daughter of the late Julius and Rose Kalman Horvath. She was a 1944 graduate of Avenel High School. She was employed as a school aide for Woodbridge Township for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed Reading and 80s Music. She was an avid fan of Nascar, the Boston Celtics, golf, and tennis. She was a member of the Woodbridge Seniors Group, where she and Mr. Toris were parents of the year. Mrs. Toris was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Woodbridge, New Jersey. She will be remembered by her family as a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Joseph Toris.
Mrs. Toris leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Michael (Kim) Toris of Molena; and her two granddaughters, Taylor (Peter) Donnelly of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Kayla Toris of McDonough.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Toris will be held, Saturday, May 24, at 10:00 AM, at St. Peter The Rock Catholic Church with Father Thomas Zahuta officiating. Interment will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
