Mr. Timothy Lamar Helton

Mr. Timothy Lamar Helton, age 69, of Molena, died Sunday, August 2, 2026, at his residence.

Mr. Helton was born in Rex, Georgia, on October 6, 1956, to the late John C. Helton and the late Betty Jo Buchanan Helton. He was a district manager for Jameson Inns, and he was the owner/operator of Helton Handicraft. He was a talented artist and painter.

Survivors include his son, Eric (Erin) Helton of Concord; his daughter, Jessica (Nathan) Jones of Thomaston; his brother, Gary Campbell of Florida; seven grandchildren: Elijah Helton, Elizabeth Helton, Ashleigh Jones, Cain Jones, Lindsey Jones, Camron Jones, and Colby Jones; and four great grandchildren: Marleigh Blankenship, Penny Jones-Hargrove, Winter Jones, and June Jones-Hargrove.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Helton was preceded in death by his husband, Clifford Lowell McSwain; a sister, Cynthia Ann Mitchell; and a brother, Keith Helton.

A memorial service for Mr. Helton will be held Thursday, August 6, at 4:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.
