Mr. Thomas Stokes Black

Mr. Thomas Stokes Black, 73, of Thomaston, died Saturday, June 8, 2019, at River Place in Forsyth, GA. No services are planned at this time. Mr. Black was born in Thomaston on January 19, 1946, to the late Marshall Stokes Black and Jacqueline Wheless Black. He was a 1964 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and a 1969 graduate of Georgia Southwestern College. Mr. Black served in Vietnam with the U. S. Army from 1969-1971. He was retired from the Rockdale County Tax Assessor's Office. Mr. Black was an Eagle Scout and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Thomaston. Survivors include his twin brother, Mr. Richard M. Black, of Thomaston; son, Chad Thomas Black; granddaughter, Olivia Black. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
