Mr. Steven Lee Dishion, affectionately known as Steve, passed away at home on Monday, April 27, 2026. He was 61 years old.
Born on February 21, 1965, in Lexington, Kentucky, Steve was a contractor skilled in home improvements, roofing, and plumbing—truly a jack of all trades. Beyond his trade, he found joy in the small wonders of life. Steve was an avid collector of arrowheads and old coins, a pastime that connected him to history and sparked his curiosity. He was a devoted fan of NASCAR, with a particular admiration for Dale Earnhardt. Nature also held a special place in his heart; he found peace watching wildlife, especially the squirrels and birds that frequented his yard.
He is survived by his life partner of 32 years, Rhonda Penny of Thomaston; his children, Ashley (Brian) Nobles of Thomaston, Dalton (Sydnee) Dishion of Meansville, and Steven Chase (Megan Garland) Dishion of Thomaston. Known to his grandchildren as “Pawpaw,” Steve adored Mason Huckaby, Parker Huckaby, Tanner Dishion, Paisleigh Dishion, Nova Dishion, and Maverick Ledford, finding immense joy in their company. He is also survived by his sister, Cheryl Preast, his brothers, Christopher Rogers and Jimmy Dishion, and several nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Dishion and Linda Hughes Rogers.
At this time, no services are planned.
Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Condolences and remembrances may be expressed at www.fletcherdayfuneralhome.com.
