Mr. Ronald Eugene Akins

Mr. Ronald Eugene Akins, 63, of Thomaston, GA, died Thursday, September 8, 2022, at his residence. Memorial services for Mr. Akins will be held at a later date.

Mr. Akins was born in Thomaston on May 15, 1959, to Carolyn Johnson Akins and the late Ronald Lee Akins. Mr. Akins served his country in the U. S. Army from 1982 - 1989.He was employed as a truck driver for Ozark. In addition to his father, Mr. Akins was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Sue Akins.

Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Johnson Akins of Thomaston; a step daughter, Wendy (Corey) Moncrief of Yatesville; a step son, Robert (Christine) Hamby of Yatesville; a step grandson, Dylan Perkins of Yatesville: two sisters: Rhonda Wyatt and Cindy (Mark) Goins, both of Thomaston; and a brother, John Akins of Thomaston.
