Mr. Levann Lynch, 79, of Thomaston, died Friday, March 11, 2016 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Memorial services for Mr. Lynch will be held on Friday, March 18th, 2016 at 2 pm in the Chapel of the Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Interment of cremains will follow the memorial service in South View Cemetery. The family of Mr. Lynch will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday from 1 pm until the service hour. Mr. Lynch was born in Upson County on July 17, 1936, a son of the late Lawrence Levann Lynch, Sr., and Eva Mae Bonds Lynch. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Textile Engineering. After his graduation he was commissioned into the U. S. Army as a 2nd Lieutenant. Mr. Lynch was employed for many years as a card room superintendent for the B. F. Goodrich Company. He was an Eagle Scout and had also been a Boy Scout Leader. He was a Past Worshipful Master for the Free and Accepted Masons. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Lynch is survived by his wife, Virginia Pitts Lynch; two daughters, Kathy L. (John) Gish of Thomaston and Debbie (Mitch) Waddell of Ft. Worth, TX; a son, Lee (Jeannette) Lynch of Lakeland, FL; a sister, Lavern Holcombe Thomas of Carrollton; ten great grandchildren and one great grandchild.
