Mr. John Marriage, Sr.

Mr. John Marriage, Sr., age 59, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

A service to celebrate John’s life will be held Saturday, October 15, at 11:00 AM, at Silvertown Baptist Church. Rev. Jason Weems will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the church prior to the service.

John was born September 4, 1963, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, a son of the late Warren R. Marriage and the late Joan Walsh Marriage. He was a graduate of Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and was employed by The Home Depot where he was the Pro Desk Sales Associate. He enjoyed being outdoors, spending time on the Flint River, and camping on Lake Meriwether. He was of the Methodist faith.

John leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Kaitlin (Max) Michaels, sons, Steven Marriage and John Marriage, mother of his sons, Stephanie (Joshua) Lower, father and mother in-law, Steve and Tammy Shock, sisters, Susan Wheeler and Cathy Hill, brothers, Ron Marriage and Tony Marriage, grandchildren, Makenzie, Mallorie, Kolton, and Maesyn Michaels. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Heather Marriage and his brother, Paul Marriage.
