Mr. Jerry Wayne "Willie" Huckaby, Jr.

Mr. Jerry Wayne “Willie” Huckaby, Jr., age 56, of Thomaston, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2026 at his uncles residence.

Willie, as he was affectionately known, was born in Upson County on December 6, 1969, the son of the late Jerry Wayne Huckaby, Sr. and the late Judy Mae Tankersley Huckaby. He spent much of his working life in construction, where he especially enjoyed carpentry and working with his hands.

An outdoorsman at heart, Willie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He appreciated the simple things in life and especially enjoyed time spent outdoors.

In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Geneva Huckaby, and two uncles Tommy Huckaby and Charles Huckaby.  Willie is survived by his uncle and caregiver, Terry Huckaby; his aunt, Marie Thompson; and several cousins and extended family members.
