Mr. James Tandy Turner

Mr. James Tandy Turner. 67, of Thomaston, died Monday, September 6, 2021, at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Turner will be held Friday, September 10, at 5:00 PM, at Mountain View Baptist Church. Dr. Ryan Christopher will officiate, and interment will follow in Trice Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, September 9, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mr. Turner was born in Thomaston on March 9, 1954, to the late James Palmer Turner and Helen Louise Railey Turner. He was a long-time employee of Scott Blackstock's Tire & Auto Master where he was a mechanic. Mr. Turner was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Turner, and his father-in-law, Monroe Brown. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Judy Brown Turner of Thomaston; a daughter Amy (Heath) Maddox, and a son: Dusty (Ashley) Turner, both of Thomaston; a sister, Susan Wilson, and three brothers: Bill Turner, Johnny Turner, and Wayne Turner, all of Thomaston; his mother-in-law, Martha Brown; and five grandchildren: Landon and Turner Maddox, Jake Helms, and Sam and Lilly Turner.
