Mr. James Edward Streetman

Mr. James Edward Streetman, 83, of Yatesville, died Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mr. Streetman will be held Monday, April 1, at 4:00 PM, at the Yatesville Baptist Church. Rev. John Wesley Long, Rev. Steve Maguire, and Rev. Terry Threadgill will officiate, and interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Yatesville. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, March 31, from 5 until 7 PM, at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mr. Streetman was born in Thomaston on August 24, 1935, to the late James Lemuel Streetman and Grace Morris Streetman. He was a graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and had served in the Georgia National Guard. Mr. Streetman had been employed by Marvin Adams, Thomaston Mills, Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home, American Finance, Bank of Upson, and the Thomaston Fire Department, as well as the Upson Regional Medical Center Collections Department. He was a member of Yatesville Baptist Church where he was a deacon. In addition to his parents, Mr. Streetman was preceded in death by a foster mother, Sadie Morris Birdsong and foster sibilings, Gene Birdsong and Margie Hamlett. He is survived by his wife, Jan Stallings Streetman of Yatesvillle; two daughters: Kristi (Jeff) Hayes and Katie (Shane) Moore, both of Yatesville; a son: Mike (Suzanne) Streetman of Thomaston; six grandchildren: Jared (Candace) Streetman, Kraig (Anna Jane) Streetman, Jackson Moore, Jacob Moore, Emmie Kate Hayes, and Hayden Hayes; and four great grandchildren: Reese Streetman, Trent Coker, Molly Streetman, and Smith Streetman.
