Mr. Charles Wesley "Shag" Collins

Mr. Charles Wesley "Shag" Collins, 68, of Thomaston, died Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Collins was born in Thomaston on January 18, 1951, a son of the late Richard Earl and Frances Anthony Collins. He was employed as a maintenance supervisor and electrician at Thomaston Mills for 30 years. He later was a home service contractor for DirecTV. Mr. Collins was a member of East Thomaston Baptist Church. Mr. Collins is survived by his wife, Emily Runnells Collins; three sons, Christopher Dale (Laura) Collins of Mathews, VA, Thomas Bryson Santos of Thomaston and Gary (Alyssa) Santos of Zebulon; a sister, Sheryl Funderburke of Morgan, GA; and three grandchildren, Jamiee and Megan Collins and Kayla Carr. Memorial services for Mr. Collins will be announced by the family at a later time. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
