Mr. Charles Fredrick "Freddy" Daniel, Jr.

Mr. Charles Fredrick “Freddy” Daniel, Jr., age 83, of Thomaston, died Saturday, June 13, 2026. 

Mr. Daniel was born in Sylacauga, Alabama, on September 20, 1942, to the late Charles Fredrick “Peg” Daniel, Sr. and the late Mary Hale Daniel. Mr. Daniel served his country in the US Marine Corps during Vietnam. He was employed for a time with Delta Airlines as a mechanic, but he returned to Thomaston in 1977 to work with his father at Ace Cleaners, where he later became the owner/operator. Mr. Daniel was a member of the Thomaston-Upson Airport Authority for twenty-four years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by his wives, Arlene Elliott Daniel and Elane Best Daniel. He is survived by two sons: David Daniel of Florida, and Charlie (Wendy) Daniel of Thomaston; and three grandchildren: Elliott (Dan) Ellington of Thomaston, Sophia Daniel of New York, and Henry Daniel of Houston, TX.

The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Saturday, June 27, from 10:00 until 12:00 noon.
