Thomaston

Mr. Barry Wayne Booth, age 63, of Thomaston, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Barry was born in Thomaston on July 12, 1963. He was a gifted paint and body technician whose craftsmanship was well known throughout the area. Over the years, he worked at Wallace Peaden Body Shop, several other local body shops, and later became self-employed. He took great pride in his work, and those who knew him appreciated both his talent and his willingness to help others.

Outside of work, Barry enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and spending time on the Flint River. One of his favorite places was the creek in his own backyard, where he made countless memories fishing with his grandchildren. He also never passed up a McDonald's Coke, a small pleasure that always brought a smile to his face.

More than anything, Barry cherished his family. He loved spending time with those he loved most, especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.

He is survived by his daughters, April (Brandon) Osbourne of Jemison, Alabama, and Amanda (Benji) Harris of Valrico, Florida; his son, Jesse Booth of Thomaston; his mother, Edna Bailey (Richard) Boyles of Thomaston; his sisters, Debbie (Greg) Rucker, Kandy Lawson, and Kacie (David) English, his brother, Darryl Keith Booth, and his brother-in-law, Lance Lawson all of Thomaston; his grandsons, Cooper Harris, River Harris, Dalton Osbourne, Cameron Booth, and Jaxson Booth; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.C. Booth, Jr.

Barry will be remembered for his quiet strength, his remarkable talent, his love for the outdoors, and the special moments he shared with family and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Barry will be held at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, July 21, at 261 North Old Alabama Road, Thomaston, GA 30286.
