Martha Ellene Long

Mrs. Long was a native of Upson County, born on February 7, 1922 to Robert and Annie Braddy Kersey. She was employed by the Martha Mills Division of the B. F. Goodrich Co., Goodies of Manchester, and the William Carter Company. She later worked as a teachers aide at The Rock Elementary School. In her later years she was a houseparent for the Methodist Childrens Home and the Georgia Academy for the Blind in Macon. Mrs. Long was a member of the Flint River Primitive Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Bob Dickinson of Marietta; her son and daughter-in-law, Davy and Irene Long of Cleveland, GA.; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
