Joan B. Ruffin

Mrs. Joan B. Ruffin, age 69, of Yatesville, died Friday, December 16, 2011, in Spalding Regional Medical Center in Griffin. Mrs. Ruffin was born in Monroe County, Georgia, to the late William J. Brooks and the late Sara Helen Pippin Brooks. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as Deputy Clerk with the Lamar County Superior Court.. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Ruffin is survived by her husband, Johnny Ruffin, of Yatesville; daughter, Susan (Calvin) Harp of Griffin; sons, Stan (Rhonda) Ruffin, of Yatesville; John D. Ruffin, of Yatesville; brother Jerry Brooks, of High Falls; eight grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
