Dorothy Ann Mauldin Story

Mrs. Dorothy Anne Mauldin Story, 79, of 1989 Atwater Rd., Thomaston, died Tuesday, December 4th, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Story was born in Upson County on May 30th, 1933, a daughter of Thelmon Bill Mauldin and Annie Ruth Williams Mauldin. She received her Batchelor's Degree in Education from Tift College and began a long teaching career at Thurston Elementary School. She later taught English at Forest Park High School. Mrs. Story also earned a Master's Degree in Divinity from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She was a member of the Valley Grove Baptist Church where she served as church organist and also as a SUnday School teacher. Mrs. Story is survived by her husband, William 'Bill' Story; three nieces, Stephanie Cadenhead of Zebulon, Karen Green of Concord, NC, and Cindy Martin of Williamson; a nephew, Gregory Hamilton of Marianna, FL; five great nieces, one great nephew, 3 great great nieces and two great great nephews.
