Andrew "Andy" Buffington

Mr. Andrew 'Andy' Buffington, 78, of 3315 Crest Hwy., Thomaston, died Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 at his home. Mr. Buffington was born in Woodland, GA. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and taught welding classes at Upson Technical School from 1968 until 1972. He retired as a truck driver with the Goodies Company. Mr. Buffington was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommi Buffington and Virginia Williams Buffington. He is survived by his wife, Meredith Buffington; his daughter, Samantha B. (Chet) Jenkins of Lutz, FL; three sons, Michael Andrew (Darlene) Buffington of Thomaston, Mark James (Becky) Buffington of Yatesville, and Alan Yancey (Jandora) Buffington of Palmetto; three sisters, Doris Smith of Coolidge, Emily (Ben) Buffington-McDonald of Ellenwood and Paula Norton of Covington; a brother, John P. Buffington of Stockbridge; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gravity Church, 9928 W.
