Mr. Nicky Joe Passmore

Mr. Passmore was a native of Upson County. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and, during his working life was employed by the City of Thomaston as a police officer and later as a water plant operator. Mr. Passmore was one of the longest surviving heart transplant recipients. He was transplant patient #31 at Emory University Hospital, undergoing the still relatively new surgery in 1985. Mr. Passmore is survived by his wife, Linda Passmore of Georgetown; his daughter, Susan (Greg) Hinton of Zebulon; his son, Marc (Sheila) Passmore of Jackson; his sister, Peggy Radcliffe of Gainesville, FL; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
