Mr. Salter was a native of Upson County. He was a self-employed general contractor and a veteran of the Georgia National Guard. Mr. Salter is survived by his wife, Judy L. Salter; two sons, Ken Salter and Russell Salter; a sister, Peggy Warren; and six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Upson County Unit, CCL Fund (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia), P. O. Box 841, Thomaston, GA 30286.
